Job Description:
A company is looking for an HCC Risk Adjustment/E&M Coding
Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM codes and capture E/M levels for
family practice, OB, and Women's Wellness visits
Log coding changes for provider feedback and maintain quality and
production standards
Comply with coding guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and report
work-related concerns to the project manager
Required Qualifications:
Current CRC, CPC, CCS, or equivalent certification through AAPC or
AHIMA
Minimum of 5 years of coding experience, including 3 years in
Evaluation and Management and CMS-HCC coding
Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM outpatient and inpatient diagnosis
coding guidelines
Ability to code using an ICD-10-CM code book without an encoder
Experience in researching and applying coding rules and
regulations
