  • Mixed unit PCU, Med Surg/Tele and Med Surg
  • Position / Specialty: FH - Central Staffing (Med Surg/Tele, Med Surg Neuro, Telemetry)
  • Ratios: 4:1 (with the expectation that there are times we will need to be 5:1)
  • Years of experience REQ: 2 years - Prefer PCU experience
  • First-timers accepted: Yes
  • Weekend REQ: Yes - every other
  • Is on-call REQ? Yes - as needed
  • Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes - Floating within service line, floating between Toledo, Flower, Bay Park, & Wildwood facilities as needed.
  • Open to accommodating block schedule? No
  • Locals accepted: No local travelers 50 miles or less
  • Pending License accepted: No
  • RTO Restrictions: Greater than 3 days will require Management approval
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Special Requirements: Patient Age group: Adults and Geriatrics
  • Patient Diagnoses: Medical, Surgical, Respiratory, Cardiac, Endocrine, Sepsis, Stroke, COPD, CHF, Renal, Mental Health Issues, Substance Abuse, many more
  • Special Procedures/Unit Details: IRR, Cath lab, CT, MRI, PET Scan, Radiation, Outpatient Infusion Center
  • Special Equipment: As needed, Mix of Intermediate care and Med Surg patients, May float to ICU but will have PCU level of care patients.
  • Work Settings: Cardiac Telemetry, MS/Tele, Telemetry
  • Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Use of Rapid Response Teams
  • Cardiovascular: Pre/Post Cardiac Cath
  • Endocrine/Metabolic: Titration of Insulin drips
  • IV Therapy/Phlebotomy: Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs
  • Medications: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, Titrate Cardiac drips
  • Neurological/Psychiatric: CVA
  • Orthopedics: Total Joint Replacements
  • Plastics: Surgical drains
  • Respiratory/Thoracic: Non-invasive airway management
  • Computerized Charting: EPIC - required
  • Work Experience: Previous Charge Experience - preferred
    • Job Requirements
